Claudio Curro' (harmonica)
An Italian who started to listen to blues music in his early teens, he developed a passion for the harmonica and began to dig into Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Sonny Terry and all the great masters of the Chicago area. In the late nineties he recorded harmonica for China's very first blues artist Hang Tian; this milestone recording gave China a first hint of blues harmonica, influencing a whole generation of local musicians. After a time spent teaching in various music schools, Claudio spent time approaching a new style of harmonica playing, based on the so-called overblowing technique pionereed by modern players such as Howard Levy, Jason Ricci and Carlos del Junco. In 2006 he joined the E-Tone Blues Band and then worked as a technical and design consultant for a harmonicas' production factory.
