Free Hugs Christmas Event

On December 25^th (Christmas Day) we will be doing a Free Hugs event.

You guys have probably heard this before, it’s quite popular on the net. Check youku for some videos if you have no idea. Basically we meet up, and give out free hugs to strangers to spread some love and kindness. It’s great for the spirit of Christmas~

Everyone should bring a sign (to the locations below at the times below) that says FREE HUGS on the front and 抱抱 (hug hug) on the back. Then just open your arms to strangers and spread the love. You can come anytime you want. We will be filming the event and making a cool video you can show your friends.

Schedule:

First stop :11:00 - 12: 00 In front of the big Tiananmen Gate (Backup Location: Across the street from the gate: Tiananmen Square)

Lunch :12:00 - 1: 30 Eat lunch then travel to Xidan

Second stop: 1:30 - 2:30 the first floor of Xidan Joy City Hall (Backup Location: in front of the big Beijing Book Store)

Third stop: 2:45 - 3:15 Xidan Subway Station Transfer Hall (Backup Location: GuoMao subway station transfer hall)

Break :3:30 - 4:20 Travel from Xidan to Sanlitun

The fourth stop: 4:30 - 5: 10 Sanlitun Sanlitun Village Square (Near the apple ipod shop) with the big screen (Backup Location: Across from the Sanlitun Bar Street)

(Note: The backup locations are in-case we are persistently told by security to leave for some reason.)

Make sure you guys bring:

1.Your own FREE HUG sign: If you can write the characters抱抱 on the back it will help. Check the pictures for examples. I’ll make a few extra signs to share around, if your pressed for time but wanna join in.

2. Warm clothes: We will be outside for some of this so dress warmly.

Some notes:
Please be passive with your hugs, don’t put your signs up in people’s faces.

If you want to participate please don’t discriminate, give hugs to everyone.

We are going to take some pictures and make a video. If you want, during the day give us your email and we will send you what we have after the event. Of course, we welcome anyone with more professional equipment to take awesome photos to share with us too.

Were also going to try to get a little SANLITUN party organized after the event, we can grab some food then go drinking or something.

We’re also posting this in Chinese on douban so we should have a decent turnout. Hope you guys can join us!
