Fête de la Musique – 夏至音乐日 – World Music Day in Beijing

The “Fête de la Musique”, celebrated each year on June 21st in more than a hundred countries worldwide, makes its debut in Beijing in 2012!

On June 21st, the district of Gulou will be taken over by the sound of live music. Come along to experience this momentous event and get the chance to listen to rock’n’roll, dub step, reggae, blues, jazz, electro and many more.

The gigs will take place in the best bars that Gulou has to offer, from more intimate venues to electrifying stages: Mao Livehouse, Temple Bar, Salud, Modernista, 4 Corners, Zajia, Jianghu, Tushugan 98, Blue Stream, 121, Jingjinjiu, Cangku, XP and Beiluo café will all be participating.

A variety of genres to suit everyone’s taste!

With a wide range of genres represented, the event will satisfy anyone who wants to see sensational live music.  Many talented artists have signed up to be part of the event and share their love of music with us!

A series of games have been planned which will keep music-lovers entertained as the party moves from one venue to the next.
