I'm a recycled artist using disposable paper materials as media for my artwork. I just moved to Beijing and not sure where or how I should go about getting a show for my work, does anyone has any advice? i would much appreciate it.

Clothing SWAP – New to you

Date: Sunday, 29th April

Time: 14:00 - 16:00

Address: The Other Place, #1 Langjia Hutong, Dongcheng District, Beijing             

Fee: ￥50/person (Including drinks and cookies)

Clothing SWAP in April! Bigger space, more fun, relaxing, mingling and SWAP (exchange) clothes, shoes and accessories you no longer need or wear. It’s a fun way to spend time with friends. It’s also a way to live green. Please bring minimum 5 items to participate. Responding at flyflyshine@hotmail.com or Stacey (15011566041).

 

Rules:

1. Everything should be washed, dry and in good repair.  If it is a dressy item, it should be ironed. 

1. Things like bathing suits, undergarments and socks are worn close to the body and there may be a limited market for these items in the group. 

1. Items left over from the swap, unless the owners wish to take them back, can then be donated to charity shop.

1. No fight!!! But ‘Paper Scissors Rock’ is allowed.

1. 携带衣物要求干净整洁，正式服装或裙装需要预先熨好。
2. 贴身衣物的交换会受到一定限制。
3. 交换活动结束后遗留的衣物，除物主要求收回外，将被捐赠给慈善机构。
4. 不允许为衣物争吵，但可以使用“剪刀石头布”来解决。

What is Trash to Art?

This event is organized by a handful of volunteers sponsored by "Green the Beige" Beijing, where young artist student will participate and transform waste into work of art by using their own creation.

Their mission as creative is to imagine all the possibilities of a green future.

- Is it a contest?

- Is it a workshop or an exhibition??

Come and find out and encourage these students who will do their best using their imagination to make a work of art out of trash.

Bring friends along and be inspired on how you too can recycle waste to help mother earth, experiment and seek out how to live and make the world a greener place.

This class gives you the chance to discuss and learn about modern movements such as Modernism, Constructivism, Futurism, Photography and Contemporary Art.

This Sunday join us at the Culture Yard for a FREE demo of our NEW ‘Art History’ Class. The hour long demo, taught by our resident ‘Art Guru’- Ariel Mario Tudela, will give you a brief introduction to the history of art and an outline of what you will be studying in the classes.
