The Antidote brings back one of our favorites - Slugabed !!!

While so much of the world's post-dubstep / bass music productions today are making overly *serious* music, Slugabed's productions are sonically exploratory but with a sense of humor, whimsy, and straight up FUNK.

Blending influences both classic and contemporary, from the outermost reaches of dubstep, hip hop and beyond, Slugabed has received unanimous praise for his debut album 'Time Time, released on the Ninja Tune label in May 2012.

Under his Slugabed alias, 23 year-old Greg Feldwick creates music which is at once complex, deep, thoughtful and above all distinctive. It channels the energy of the best of today's bass music, through spacey bleeps and meditative melodies to explore the outermost reaches of electronic music making today.

Partly as a result of this interest he was offered a chance to remix Roots Manuva’s all-time great “Witness (1Hope)” for Ninja Tune’s twentieth anniversary boxset. The result was one of the stand-outs of that mammoth collection, and made him one of only a handful of producers to successfully remix that classic cut. In fact, Roots Manuva himself liked it so much that he personally requested the instrumental so that he could use it in his live set. Almost inevitably, the album deal with Ninja Tune followed shortly after.

Since then, things have really taken off for Feldwick. He has played at the legendary Berghain club in Berlin as part of Scuba’s SUB:STANCE night, toured the USA, Australia and Asia, and remixed both Eskmo and Stateless for his new home label, as well as supplying another remix for the mighty Roots Manuva's 'Get The Get' single.

Funny, clever, referential, sometimes moving and never anything but completely himself, Slugabed is a substantial new presence in UK bass music.

With an ongoing touring schedule throughout Europe and the world, 2 new singles planned, and work on his second LP underway, things look set to stay busy for Slugabed into 2013 and beyond.

英国顶尖先锋电子音乐厂牌Ninja-Tunes新签约的艺人Slugabed，原名Greg Feldwick，来自于英国Bath，目前居住于Brighton，年仅21岁的他被大家称为“节奏制造机”，他在当地的夜店活动“Donky Pitch”上以高超的现场乐器表演出名，即使他现在已经名噪国际，他仍然保留在这个活动驻场表演者的身份。他为诸多大牌如Starkey, Eprom和Kelpe制作了正式版本的混音曲目，他个人混音版本的美国嘻哈艺人Pharoah Monch的经典曲目“Simon Says”在全球的舞池中热播。2009年他发行的“Ultra Heat ” EP单曲专辑引起了各大厂牌的瞩目，Ninja Tunes邀请他为厂牌二十周年纪念合集制作混音，稍后他获得了Ninja Tunes的唱片合约。至此以后Slugabed的音乐事业发展越来越好，他在德国柏林的传奇夜场Berghain表演，在英国开设了Donky Pitch厂牌，在加拿大，澳大利亚，新西兰巡回演出等等。这次应上海“Antidote解毒剂”的邀请，进行亚洲多个国家的巡演。

”S L V”はHamacide と Downstateの新コラボプロジェクトです。"S L V EP"と名のる彼らのファーストアルバムは12月06日2012 にUrban Waves http://urbanwav.es/ からリリースされます。 来年の３月にSVBKVLT 7" Seriesのファーストリリースとしてアナログ版もリリースされます。
2012 年の７月から９月までかけて制作したS L V EPはジャンルにあてはまらないビートミュージックと説明できます。時にはホラー映画に使われそうな音、時には奇麗なメロディーを表にする”SLV EP”は実にユニークな作品。Trap Music, Bass Music, Hip-Hop、Juke等様々な音がまざったサウンドである。

Puzzle, a member of the Berlin based Leisure System crew has been producing beats the last ten years with releases on Tigerbeat6, Generation Bass, and Project Moon Circle. He now heads up as one of the Leisure Systems resident dj's at their legendary Club Berghain nights. One of only two events to have Berghain residency. Now also a label, last year Leisure System broke its geographical bonds and set up international events in London, den Haag, Vienna, and Moscow. The Leisure System sound is a friends collective of artist that are mainly based in berlin incl. Chris Clark, Jimmy Edgar, MachineDrum, Objekt, Lando Kal, Barker, Actress, and Kuedo. Also co-runs the bodywerk nights with guests such as: Dj Rashad & Spinn, Teeth, and Krampfhaft. Puzzle represents the more cutting edge sound of the bunch, bringing booming bass kicks & rattling hi-hats to dance hungry feet!

Looking back on the myriad of ways that the genre now known quite loosely as ‘bass music’ has mutated, one of the key figures in its evolution would have to be Bristol’s Rob Ellis, better known simply as Pinch. His fascination with what the outer limits of the dub sound can achieve, has made him a distinct figure within the fluid group of like-minded dubstep musicians that defined the so-called Bristol sound.

回 顾过去多年重音电子音乐的演变历程，无论是从任何角度来看它的发展，我们都无法绕过一个音乐革命先锋的名字，他就是布里斯托的rob ellis,而他更加广为人知的名字就是pinch。之所以为他冠以革命先锋的头衔是因为他对dub sound 独特的理解和大胆的开发演变使得他的音乐由里而外渗透出强烈的个人色彩，而这种独特的音乐制作方式也在布里斯托带动了一批极为出色的制作人群体，而这个群 体在pinch的带动下将这种独具特色的进步电子音乐发展成了独有的电音流派－布里斯托之声！

在伦敦人尽皆知的重音电子派对 fwd》活动中，kode9实验性的演出让pinch兴奋不已，他随即回到布里斯托开始了自己的纯dubstep派 对－sub-loaded.而这一行动另一个不为人知的初衷便是他对音乐的喜好已经开始发生巨大的变化，正如他所描述的：我开始对drum and bass音乐感到厌倦，逐渐开始更倾向于basic chanel式的minimal techno，garage,grime和electronica音乐，并且尝试把它们mix在一起。而这样的音乐在今天已经开始大肆流行，可pinch 在当时却是那个“首先品尝螃蟹”的人。他对音乐的这种前瞻性和实验性为随后出现的新生代制作人带来极大的震撼和影响。这种尝试让他内心激情涌动，随即开创 自己的音乐厂牌 tectonic并积极发掘极具潜力的制作人加入到厂牌中来，2562便是其中之一。而他所有这些努力都将自己和厂牌的音乐事业带到新的高度。

近 期pinch又收到炙手可热的mix cd系列 fabriclive的邀约，制作新一期的mix cd,而之前为fabriclive贡献mix cd的都是诸如pearson sound 和 shackleton这样的大人物，就在去年他也刚发行了与shackleton合作的专辑。这些音乐人和pinch都有着极为相似的特点，那就是他们对 声音的质感极为看重，他们不遗余力的在音质和节奏型中探索实验，可即便如此，你仍旧可以从这些不断演变的音乐中感受到来自这些制作人深刻的个性烙印，而这 种烙印将伴随着他们向更深远的音乐世界中拓进。
