There is something saying,

The furthest distance in the world is not between you and me apart,

If we always thing about each other,

the distance will not work oin that

No matter where you are or what you look like,

My making friend rules is:

ignore outlook of you

ignore wealthy or poor of you

ignore whether you are health or not of you

i just need to you to share my sadness when i am weak

I just wanna you to be happy

that is what i need to do for me

with all my wishes to you

my friend

Auld Lang Syne

by Robert Burns
(1759-1796)

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp,
And surely I'll be mine!
And we'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

We twa hae run about the braes,
And pu'd the gowans fine;
But we've wandered mony a weary fit
Sin' auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidled i' the burn,
Frae morning sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roared
Sin' auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

And there's a hand, my trusty fiere,
And gie's a hand o' thine!
And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught

For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

 One Hundred Flowers Bloom

'Gather your stones, prepare to let fly

we'll rest on your shoulders, we're one you and I

As weeping Haui shadows cast light on the gloom

we're all us and I, let a hundred flowers bloom'

I've been to the valleys, lotus fields and chrome peaks,

seeking the words you sought me to speak

but all I encountered as I melted there

was a single red flower, on a burnt railway stair.

'Lather your bones, breathe in as you sigh

your word was your word, now an eye for an eye'

As day loses light, on crimson in bloom

float a hundred wilted petals, it's not safe to assume.

The Home Fires

Oxen of the sun, birthing canal

Wilde on his rock, colouring banal

Bram stoking fires, Behan's door ajar

Kavanagh with kindling, hailing Synge from afar

Yeats in Ithicabra, polishing his horse

Beckett in Bray, waiting in morse

Joyce yet awanders, ash thatched to hand

plitting a plot, plotting a plan

(我的表哥)当我们再次相遇(My cousin) when we meet again

(My cousin) when we meet again
DUST

In this lonely time, we meet again
I know you agian ,I think you have forgotten
The cold winter, with a weak sun
You and me ,say that a boring topic
Then I believe this is the beginning of our worst
Because my father had passed away, I seemed as nothing was happen
Actually, all without words, only our heart is starting from the stranger.

Some of the old time and I again could not dependent
I clearly know that he and I are Heaven and Earth
Clearly know that I sent Clearly know that I sent poetry to a blind monkey
Just the lonely I can not get rid
Heavy soul broken wings

only remember you wear the green Military uniform
if meeting a particular brother always say endless
as the water drops Penetrate the rock
I had to take place at least

Occasionally I'll watch your house
Dense poetry
I do not know What song is your life's path locus
Pure Sound, said the one in your heart
It was gone ,very far away

Tsinghua University has the Ori English Poetry Society which holds a few open mike events each year and publishes student and faculty poetry in English. I used to be an advisor to the group when I taught there. Keep in touch--Best of luck!--Robert Sheppard

hi all,

I've just arrived here in Beijing and was wondering if there are any poetry open mic/gatherings or something similar in the city? i'm a keen writer and am always looking to find others to chat about literature and share ideas/interests.

Thanks,
Owain
