Join us at Culture Yard tomorrow night for a Tea Workshop hosted by Tea Expert Jiang Jianfeng.

You will learn about the history, growing process, different tea categories, preservation of each kind of tea, and tips on making it.  Each workshop will include a lecture, demonstration and a tea tasting.

Wulong (Oolong) Tea – a semi-fermented tea, has a complex production phase starting with withering under the sun, and later oxidization, finishing with curling and twisting. Especially popular in southern China and south-east asia,  is considered to have the richest taste of all Chinese tea.

Next workshops: Dec 23 (Fri) 19:00 – 21:00

Registration: workshop@cultureyard.net or call 010-84044166

Spaces are limited  so register early to save your seat.

Price: 70 RMB

Who else wants to come on the Tea and Qigong Retreat in May with me? This the 2nd annual Tea and Qigong Retreat in Wuyishan. We will be studying Taoist and Zen tea culture. There will be some amazing tea masters there and we will be visiting wild and ancient tea tree forests. Last years was an amazing adventure and I expect this year to be even better. Please see www.wildteaqi.com and click on the Retreats page
let me know if any questions.

I love Japanese tea ceremony -- particularly Urasenke. Now, I am in China I would like to learn about tea here. I am British -- so from a nation of tea lovers :-)
