大家好，我生在北京长在北京。而对于很多生活工作在北京的外地人和外国人，北京话总是听起不适应，并且很难理解。我设立这个GROUP的目的就是来教大家识辨，以及品味北京方言的特色和韵味，希望大家喜欢^^

Hi everyone, i am a Beijinger born and bred, and then for many of foreigners and stanger living in Beijing, there are lots of folk expressions and dialects can't be understood easily, as Beijing dialect is unique for its special pronunciation, intonation, and heavy use of rhotic vowels as well. The reason i run this group is to teach people to distinguish Beijing dialect, also aim to help you to enjoy and savor the beauty in it . I'd be most delighted if you guys love it.

Comment by Russell Buchanan on August 19, 2012 at 6:22pm: This month I have been in Beijing five years now, I would like to shoot through the eyes of a foreigner who knows a little of the Lao Beijing history that would be great to mention as a time capsule look at the old city and the new with a statement leaning towards the future which must contain the past.

The future is for the young, entrusted to them by the old, lessons learned from failure and success we must push forward and leave a legacy for all to see.

Hopefully this will attract some attention from both local and foreign people who want to know more, we can do this very soon and film over some months as the seasons change like the times we now live in is my thoughts.

By just telling some of the old Beijingers that they will show up in some vids in oder to record this endangered language, think most of them will be glad to make some efforts on it. And of course there are some old Beijingers living in Nnalouguxiang who are my friends, will approach them and deal with some further issues.
