you may or may not have notice I've not been around so much. I am terribly sorry. Life is busy though. Apart from obligatory studies, school and classrelated mayhem (exams) and guycrap (shoot me now), I somehow got on the school team to participate a very important and citywide sports event (流动中国比赛). As 拉拉队 dancer. Anone who knows me even a tiny little bit knows this is not really my cup of tea. I tried, and asked, but they did not have a skating contest, or a can-lifting…

I would just like to say that the world is full of compromise and sacrifice, but it is a wonderful world. What other creature can think like this? Can travel and survive? Can adjust to different climates, different cultures, different foods.  Live without any understanding.  It makes me so happy to be here. My classes are amazing. I don't have children, but when a student comes up to you and yells your name and hugs you- you feel wonderful.

It has been a long struggle. A never ending fight. But let me tell you, if your hart is pure and your're intensions noble, it really is possible to find the perfect French fry in Beijing. 

Last night I got lucky. Usually when ordering fries (and I mean the big ones) in Beijing things can get nasty. On the outside they say 'hey! I'm a fry!' but on the inside they scream 'Raw Potato!'. What the hell is up with that!? Not at all the balance one is looking for. And sure, just cold…

Lately, for some dark, inapparent reason I have been mentally captured by the phenomenon of matches and matchbooks. I have been tracing my brainwaves back to every known source, over and over, and I have no idea what could have ever triggered this sudden obsession over something as a match, or a matchbook. 

Honestly, it's getting ridiculous. Matchbooks. Safety matches. Collecting them. Collecting their boxes. Lighting them. Firing a canon with them.

A wise, old, Chinese man once said that somewhere out there, somewhere far away, there’s a cave. All the pretty girls from all over the world go in there when times get cold and dark, to take cover.
