French Paradox Syrah and Italian Panettone- 2 things to Eat and Drink this New Year!

There is such a variety of things to eat and drink here in Beijing and I want to mention two that you can try to add to your list this New Year.

First is the French Paradox, Syrah (2011) and the other is the Italian Holiday cake-Panettone. This Syrah is well-balanced with a touch of oak but not to overpower the subltle but dark, red tannin- the aftertaste is rather splendid to me. The Panettone if you have not eaten should give it a try one or two... Most of them are imported from Italy and can be found in most foreign stores like April Gourmet, BHG, METRO and Jenny Lou's. This cake has the special flavor of rich, creamy-like cake with orange-peel and cherry, raisins and cinnamon- to die for, you know.
